Pensioenfonds PGB and World Wildlife Fund to collaborate

Pensioenfonds PGB and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-NL) have entered into a three-year partnership to give nature and biodiversity a greater place in the investments of Pensioenfonds PGB.

Loss of biodiversity poses a direct threat to nature, but also to the economy. One example of this is agriculture. Because there are fewer different varieties, harvests are much more susceptible to disease. Your investments in that sector may therefore become less valuable.

Strengthening the sustainable investment policy

That is why Pensioenfonds PGB looks at returns, risks and costs, but also at sustainability, when investing. In terms of sustainability, we have three focus themes: climate, food and biodiversity. Our participants find these to be the most important themes. In the area of more biodiversity, we are now going to collaborate with WWF-NL.

Making an impact together

With this partnership, both parties want to contribute to a future-proof society. By sharing professional knowledge, Pensioenfonds PGB and WWF-NL want to create more awareness in the financial sector. And contribute to a positive impact on nature.

What is biodiversity?

Biodiversity is the variety of plants, animals and microorganisms in nature. It is vital for a healthy ecosystem because all these species work together and thus ensure balance in nature.
