On Friday, July 7, the Rutte IV cabinet fell. You may be wondering if this affects your pension, or the implementation of the new pension law. The short answer to that is: no.
The new pension rules continue as usual
On May 30, the Senate passed the Future Pensions Act (Wtp). This officially passed the law and implementation has begun. According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, the implementation of the pension law will continue as previously planned. The cabinet is reluctant to develop new policies though, he says. But the fall of the cabinet does not affect your (future) pension at this time.
