Pensioenfonds PGB and the Scottish asset manager abrdn will invest € 200 million in small to medium-sized, unlisted European companies. This co-investment reduces the average costs of the unlisted investments of Pensioenfonds PGB.
A quarter of the portfolio is invested sustainably in companies that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals for a better world, drawn up by the United Nations in 2015. Like many large investors, Pensioenfonds PGB has embraced these goals.
Investing in business growth
The investments focus on operational improvements and job creation. Account is taken of the environment and climate, labour and human rights and good governance. Since 2019, Pensioenfonds PGB and abrdn have been working together to invest a total of €500 million over a period of five years in funds that focus on the small to medium-sized segment of European companies.
